Animated & Static Ads
While at the Star Tribune, I was tasked with the Mall of America account, a very high profile customer. They were extremely pleased with the digital collateral I crated for them.
This is an animated scratch-off effect to highlight the Mall of America Black Friday promotion.
Taylor Communications provided layered documents which needed to be cleaned up and animated; they had extremely high expectations and valued my input regarding design, animation, and calls to action.
Among the many dealerships that I created campaigns for, Maplewood Toyota was a monthly 970x250 and 300x600 that had to strictly adhere to brand standards and compliance.
This fun animation plays off the choosing of your favorite team and shows the ease of ordering online.
This ad for Great Plains is a breath of fresh air as the client wanted it light, airy, and simple.
This client wanted to showcase their rewards club in a simple, clean and easy to understand manner.

Email Blasts
This email saved a $10,000 buy from Greiner. They were unhappy with work from the Nativo team and were going to pull Star Tribune buy - until I sent this spec to the rep. It saved the buy. They were so happy with this that nothing visually was changed from spec to send.
Lela was thrilled with my responsive emails, this is one that highlighted their Executive Chef.
This email was requested by Gillette Children's Hospital to increase their applicants.
This email was requested to advertise Fair State Brewing Co's new brew.
At the Star Tribune, I created many of the handcoded and templated FYI, Entertaiment, and Travel emails sent out daily, with an emphasis on Responsive emails.
The Make It OK campaign for HealthPartners was wonderful to work on, both in regards to design and also creating a positive impact.
One of the multitudes of responsive emails I have created for smaller clients, this promotes their enrollment special and showcases their strengths.
While at both Pioneer Press and the Star Tribune, I did a great deal of Explore MN pieces, including emails to promote tourism throughout the state.
This fun project was for the Cakery in Hudson, Wisconsin (their Joy Cookies are amazing, by the way). Based on this and another flyer, the owner increased their spend and bought Online also.
The 2015 Spring Showcase poster for the Hudson Chamber of Commerce. After years of the same look, I speculatively offered a new logo and aesthetic, which was received extremely well.
This magazine ad I created to highlight Cub's sponsorship of the US Women's Open. This design can register more as white space due to the amount of green despite the hero image being so large, and the sponsorship message is clear.
These DMPs I created to go up against a newly opening Supertarget in the area. This set of DMPs, designed to be a bit more upscale than Cub's usual look and feel, was quite successful in bringing customers to that store.
I designed this holiday magazine front to back, solo. Definitely one of the most fun projects I had while at Cub Foods (through Vertis, Inc.) The flakes of snow are varnished as a 5th ink on the cover.
One of the Cub advertising campaigns involved my Photoshopping the Cub logo into our photography, shown here in cast iron, an embroidered robe and a cheese wheel.
These broadsheet wraps were part of the 40 Years Campaign I created for Cub Foods, this set helped garner a SuperValue Idea Store Award.
In addition to the broadsheet wraps, I designed many other pieces for Cub's 40 Years celebration. Pictured here are a poster, in-store flyer, and custom bottled Coca Cola.
Logos & Branding
This BabiWize icon is part of a Mobile Icon Suite requested by the BabiWize App developer, dedicated to the health and welfare of children.
For each promotion at Cub Foods, a visual had to be created in the 'Cubbish' manner to be consistent with branding. Here is a collection of a few I did over the years.
Vondriska Woodworks Logo. It was rewarding seeing the 'd' becoming the wood curled out of the wood lathe.
The client requested a beautiful, classic logo that incorporated the full name of the business, in a subtle and flexible array of colors.
